These MetroLite lighting towers have landed in Papua New Guinea (PNG) to provide lighting to a Gold Mine in the Central Highlands. This client required some heavy duty lighting towers that were still capable of being towed by light vehicles. A dual axle trailer was required to meet the harsh PNG mining conditions, and this was developed from our standard single axle metrolite range specifically for this mine site.

Additional requirements were:

• Standardizing on the air cooled Deutz 2011 engines
• Hydraulic mast extension
• 4 x 1000W metal halide lamps
• Acoustic weatherproof enclosure
• Removable roof for maintenance
• Heavy duty hydraulic over ride braking system for operator safety
• All controls and levers inside the enclosure to protect from vandalism
