Project overview
To design, manufacture, supply , deliver and commission two horizontal pumping systems to supply power fluid and water flood fluid to an Oil Field in Western Australia.
Our involvement
Eneraque supplied a package that has a Cummins KTA38 as the engine driver, with a twin disc clutch attached to the housing. The clutch is then connected to the drive shaft, which in turn spins the gearbox and pump to provide a discharge rate of 12,500 barrels per day. The horizontal pump is a Schlumberger RedaHPS pump, which is a modular and configurable high pressure centrifugal booster pump package.
Outcome and benefits
The rugged, modular design of factory aligned components permits easy maintenance, and minimal downtime when it is eventually required. All major components can be exchanged on-site, within 4–6 hours, without requiring alignment. The engine is also designed for flexibility and can run on a mixture of fuels consisting of oilfield gas, crude oil and diesel.
